Background 
Taban Rox was born on Bajor as only son of David Rox and Joanne Kalem. As
child of a Bajoran officer onboard Deep Space Nine the young Taban spend a
lot of time onboard the federation station looking at the stars and ships.
After he finished his school at the station he wanted join Starfleet
Academy. Once there he developed a great interest in combat training and
managed to start a career as a security officer. He also joined classes for
steller carthograpy since he wanted to know what stars he had seen on  the
station and which one would be worth a visit someday. 

After his graduation he served as a lieutenant junior grade at the Academy
and was a teacher there for a few years since the acedmy could use his
expertise After 3 years he wanted to see the galaxy again and requested a
post in space. Right now he serves onboard the Sares station as a teacher
for young security personnel.
